Facebook allows employees to work-from-home permanently even as offices reopen





Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg has stated that he believes the shift to remote work will last for a long time in the company and they are planning to hire more employees who can work from anywhere. Facebook recently started reopening its offices after a long shutdown. Facebook has stated that it will provide employees the option of continuing with remote work for a longer duration, even extending help to workers who wish to move to some other country. From 15 June, Facebook will allow any employee whose work can be performed remotely to work that way permanently. "We believe how we work is more important than where we work," Facebook stated announcing the updates to its remote work policy. "We want to be the place where people can do the best work of their careers while ensuring a consistent experience for employees no matter where they're located." Facebook along with other Silicon Valley firms adopted remote work quite early amid the pandemic, leveraging a range of internet tools to get the jobs done.
